How to use Web content control settings

Thanks to the Web content control, it is possible to prevent other computer users from accessing inappropriate content (violence, pornography, etc.) on the Internet. This is achieved by applying filters (child filter, adolescent filter, employees filter, etc.).

The computer supervisor will be able to apply a different filter to each of the computer users. In addition, it will also be possible to set a list of Web pages to which the users will (or will not) have access regardless of the filter that was applied to them.

There are two ways of accessing the Web content control settings: from the main window of the program and from the program icon in the Windows Taskbar (next to the system clock).

Follow these instructions to enable/disable the Web content control (allowing the computer supervisor to restrict access to certain Web pages):

  1. In the main screen of , select Status.

  2. In the Protection section, click Settings.

  3. Select Web content control on the left of the window and select Enable Web content control.

Once the Web content control is enabled, users that want to use the Internet must first identify themselves in the filter, entering their user name and password. This data will be requested when the Internet browser opens.
